I wanted to know
who I am
and what I was
but then I met myself,
standing right there in the mirror
and the mirror-me said:
„that´s what you get,
when you start
searching yourself!
Come take my hand,
I think you need some help.“
So I walked along
the streets with myself,
talking bout some future needs
for feeling well
and the matter of needing help
and I said to myself:
“I don´t wanna need anybody,but I do
and i´m so afraid of falling though.
Isn´t there a way to get by
without always thinking “why“?”
Listen to music
try to fly high
fall on your knees
but don´t ask why
music is your friend
and she´ll never leave you
dance with me
and you will feel it,too.
Now i´m back on the ship
where I was before
traveling around
and trying to find something more
because I want it all
and the mirror-me said:
“that´s what your life is all about.
I´m just trying to help you figure it out.
Don´t you believe everything you´re thinking
just try to feel good without the least inkling!”
There´s a world outside your mind
through your fear behind
because all you need to do is:
Listen to the music
try to fly high,
fall on your knees
but don´t ask why.
Music is your friend
and she´ll never leave you
dance with me
and you will feel it,too.

I‘m all dressed in black tonight,

So it‘s 4 a.m. & I‘m eating junkfood again
Lying in my bed, no I‘m not in the sleeping mood,
But when, I‘m sleeping ‘till the day is over
I‘m hiding under blankets in a land that I called nowhere
I‘m lying awake every night,
being pissed off by waiting for the light
And I go outside to see something else than my room
But on the way, every day, the same people, the same play
In a cage made of rules, tired of playing my part
Not knowing where it ends, not seeing where it starts
And then it is 4 a.m. again & again & again
Get away, get away from here - It whispers in my ear
You gotta go, pack your bags - You are a runaway
Into the sun you should run
But It is alright - I‘ll pick the fruit when it is ripe
I just need to clean up the mess in my home and in my mind
I will not runaway this time
But I crave for the ocean & I crave for the blue sky
Crave for the mountains, I‘m craving for flying high

tumbling through a dark and silent place
nothing straight – strange ways
There´s a voice inside my head
that mistrusts everything
nothing clear – nothing is near
I need to get my faith back
give my self another shape
I´m trying to excape

for the words to clothe my thoughts
they must be there somewhere
Because I belong to the other side
where the sun shines and the time flies
is there anyone who knows the way back again
can you please take my hand and pull me back again

through that dark and silent place

fills my mind with doubts and fear

and every day another shape

is the system ‚cause it’s sickness
and its symptom is greed and richness

I’m glad our ways have crossed
although the boat has changed its course
the aim must not be lost
